Where to Stay

Staying in downtown Seattle will create the most freedom for you to enjoy the sights and sounds around the city. There are several hotels that are within walking distance to sites like the Space Needle, the Seattle Aquarium, Pikes Place Market, and Safeco Field. Most hotels typically have valet or self service parking available, so once you're parked you no longer need to worry about traffic in the city or getting stuck at the stadium after the game. Start your day early, have some fun around the city, and work your way to the ballpark at your leisure.
Located about a half hour west from Seattle is the beautiful city of Bellevue. There are several hotels in or around Bellevue that may provide a less expensive alternative than staying in the heart of downtown Seattle. Bellevue offers a large shopping center with more than 200 storefronts including a Seattle Mariner proshop. Traffic can pick up around the time you leave for the stadium, so it is recommended you allow plenty of time to get to Safeco.
Many who have made the trip to Safeco highly recommend staying in Seatac. It is home to the Seattle Airport so if you are flying into town, your hotel is not far away when you land. The hotels are typically less expensive than downtown Seattle, and the Sounder Train runs from Seatac to Seattle all throughout the day. If you don't want to deal with the headache of Seattle traffic, the Sounder takes about 45 minutes to get to the stadium and has several stops downtown.
